An international choral ensemble joined with local pupils for what has been described as a 'stunning' concert in Ealing.

The show was the culmination of a year long partnership between Voces 8 and St Benedict’s School in Eaton Rise and took place at Ealing Abbey last Monday (January 12).

The A cappella programme involved classical pieces such as Ubi Caritas by Ola Gjeilo, Magnificat Primi Toni by Palestrina and Ave Verum   by Mozart.

For some the highlight of the evening was the performance of Happy by Pharrell Williams with Voces 8, St Benedict's students, and also children from North Ealing and Christ the Saviour, Ealing Broadway, primary schools.

Nic Mehew, music accompanying teacher from North Ealing Primary School in Pitshanger Lane said: “Please pass on our thanks to all concerned - the day was a triumph in every way and I feel honoured that we were able to take part. Amazing.”

Voces 8 and St Benedict’s School have signed up for a three-year partnership.
