THE DATE of the general election might not even have been set yet, but that has not stopped parliamentary candidate Zac Goldsmith bringing in a few familiar faces to help boost his campaign for the area's hot-seat, Richmond Park.
Conservative multi-millionaire Mr Goldsmith, who is hoping to force Liberal Democrat Susan Kramer out at this year's election, visited Kingston Mosque on March 12 with his sister, Jemima Khan and her ex-husband Imran Khan.
Mr Khan, a cricketer-turned Pakistani politician, and Ms Khan, a UNICEF ambassador, toured the mosque to convince them to vote for his friend and former brother-in-law.
He told the crowd: "Zac is like a younger brother, but that is not why I'm supporting him. I have never before endorsed a politician, but I endorse Zac because he has all the qualities to become an excellent MP. I know his views, I know he will stand up for what he believes in."
