POLICE are hunting a man who sexually assaulted a 12-year-old girl on a Fulham estate.

The teenager was walking outside Jim Griffiths House, in Clem Attlee Court, at 7.30pm on Monday, November 14, when she was approached by a man trying to talk to her.

She ran away to a nearby arch but the man followed her and pulled down her tracksuit bottom and underwear before pulling down his jeans and boxer shorts.

But an unknown mixed race boy, with black curly hair and wearing a puffa jacket with woolly sleeves, intervened and helped walk the victim home.

The suspect is described as a 56-year-old black man with an English accent and receding hair, medium build, six feet tall and wearing a black Mac jacket and dark blue jeans.

Police are also asking the boy, believed to be around 15, to come forward.

Anyone with information should call Detective Constable Bill Earlie of the Sapphire Unit at Fulham Police Station on 020 8246 2306 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
