Children and their families enjoyed Splash The Teacher and a bouncy castle at a summer fair.

The annual get-together took place at Preston Manor Lower School, in Carlton Avenue East, Wembley, on Saturday.

Badrun Chowdhury, a parent governor and treasurer of the PTA, said: “It was a great event.

“We had lots of local sponsors and lots of the local community attended.

“We have been running the summer fair for a few years now and it is great fun.

“Everyone had a ball and enjoyed themselves.

“Over 500 people came this year and we raised a lot of money, which will go towards helping fund a new playground and some new sports equipment for the school.”

Attractions including face painting, kick the ball, a tombola, and separate raffles for children and adults.

There were also plenty of stalls selling refreshments, including a barbecue, candy floss, popcorn and Caribbean food.
