CANNABIS worth hundreds of thousands of pounds was seized by police after two raids across the borough.

About 500 plants were discovered when officers from the East Acton Safer Neighbourhood Team stormed a converted home in Perryn Road in the early hours of Tuesday.

While the North Greenford, Northolt Mandeville and Greenford Green SNTs discovered 600 plants in a converted four-bedroom house in Eastcote Avenue, Greenford, on Saturday October 31.

The combined street value of the plants is worth about £380,000. A man was arrested at the Greenford site and has been remanded in custody to appear at Isleworth Crown Court at a later date.


North Greenford SNT Sergeant Adrian Tither said: "This was another successful intelligence led operation, which will have a significant impact on reducing the amount of cannabis available in this area.

"I'm extremely proud of my officers who day in day out continue with their efforts to curb any type of crime in our area, making it a better place to live for all the local residents."
