MORE than 100 fund raisers huffed and puffed to cross the line after a ten mile run for a Chelsea hospital.

The 120 competitors took part in the Great South run in Portsmouth on October 25 to raise money for the Royal Marsden cancer hospital, in Fulham Road.

One keen sportsman ran despite having his arm in plaster after dislocating his elbow.

Fund raising and community development manager for the Marsden, Amanda Heaton, said: “It was a wonderful day – thank goodness the rain stayed away.

“I would like to say a big heartfelt thank you to all our runners, especially Andy who ran with his arm in plaster, for putting in the time and effort to train for the run."
