REVELLERS celebrated the end of a month-long fast at Hounslow Mosque on Sunday (August 11).
An estimated 3,000 people poured through the gates of the temple in Wellington Road South, Hounslow, for the free Eid fun day.
Funfair rides, martial arts demonstrations and live music were among the attractions at the event, marking the end of Ramadan, during which Muslims fast during the hours of sunlight.
The fair was organised by Lady Nafisa Independent School, an Islamic school in nearby Cross Lances Road, which welcomed people from all backgrounds.
Organiser Yasser Qadri said: "This was an event for the whole community and we're delighted so many people turned up, including Brentford & Isleworth MP Mary Macleod and deputy Hounslow mayor Corinna Smart. We wanted to show people the mosque isn't just a place of worship, it's also a hub of the community."
The fair raised more than £5,000 for the school and selected charities.
