A PAIR of talented Hounslow theatre arts students have won their heatin a TV talent contest.

AnnaKing, 17, from Ridegway Road, Isleworth and Lee Sanders, 16, from Ellerdine Road, Hounslow, impressed judges on the Glee style Channel Five show, Don't stop Believing, with their group, The Songtimers,now going on to the grand final.

Thegroup of 20 were voted through by viewers who enjoyed their 90 second, dancing and singing mash-up of Michael Jackson's "Man inthe Mirror" and Avril Lavigne's "Keep Holding On".

Speaking after their performance, judge Tamsin Outhwaite said: "I thought they were really passionate and an extremely energetic opening performance."

Fellow judge, Duncan James said: "I think it was the strongest openerwe have had on the series."

The group will now go on to appear in the Grand Final later this month,going head to head with other heat winning groups, to win a recording contract.
