I wish to thank all staff at Northwick Park Hospital in A&E and the CDU ward for taking care of me last Tuesday evening when I had a suspected heart attack.

The ambulance car, followed by the ambulance, arrived really quickly and the personnel did their tests while I was still at home.

All seemed fairly normal but I was advised to go to A&E to make sure. In A&E I was seen by the doctor and they kept me overnight to do a necessary test 12 hours later. I am pleased to say that the tests proved all clear.

However, I am writing to say how much improved the standard of hygiene and cleanliness has become in the wards I visited. I also attended A&E and the CDU ward about four years ago. The difference is amazing (toilets as well!).

All the curtains were clean and disposable in A&E, floors clean and all bedclothes in CDU changed after only about six hours on the bed. I was also swabbed on entry to the hospital to make sure I did not carry the MRSA bug.

Please convey my thanks to all staff involved.
