I AM writing to say a public thank you to the staff of Ealing Hospital.
At midnight on the Wednesday before Easter I suffered a minor heart attack. After a trip by ambulance to the A&E department, extensive tests and waiting, I was admitted to Ward 4 South.
The Tuesday after Easter I was given an angiogram at Hammersmith Hospital, returned to Ealing, and discharged the next day.
The whole experience was made as comfortable as possible by the very professional care, treatment, and general looking after by all staff at all levels. Even the cleaning staff did a thorough job with a smile.
The food was excellent, while not over large portions - it's a hospital not a restaurant - was always clean, well presented, and piping hot; two cooked three-course meals each day; breakfast of course, plus tea and coffee.
I work in a service industry, and am fully aware that you cannot keep all people happy all the time, but I can safely say, from my experience at Ealing Hospital, that to knock it must need a very negative attitude indeed.
Well done Ealing Hospital, and all its night staff; once again, many grateful thank yous.
