The Harrow Observer is delighted to announce it is supporting NHS staff by joining up with the North West London Hospital NHS Trust to recognise the exceptional efforts of those working there.

The Excellence Awards are a way of congratulating staff on their success and are designed to celebrate workers from every walk of hospital life– from nurses to physiotherapists to IT support, cleaners and ward clerks.

Almost anyone can be nominated for the award – both individuals and teams will be considered. Nominations can be made by the public or by colleagues and can be for a single act of excellence or a broader contribution to patient care.

Suzy Talbot, deputy editor of the Harrow Observer said: “We are thrilled to be involved in these awards and are looking forward to helping to judge all categories, especially the Harrow Observer’s award.”

The categories are: caring at its best, unsung hero, going the extra mile/improving patient experience, innovator of the year, volunteer of the year, chairman’s award, leadership and the Harrow Observer’s award.

Carole Flowers, director of nursing said: “It’s a privilege to work with so many dedicated staff and I’m delighted that their excellent work is acknowledged and rewarded.”

As well as receiving widespread recognition for their work, winners receive £100 (or £300 for teams).

Do you know an individual or a team at the trust who deserves recognition?
