DRINKERS at a Brentford pub will be able to rub shoulders with a star of BBC Drama Holby City this weekend.
Hugh Quarshie, 58, famous for playing Ric Griffin in the long-running medical series, will be at The Royal Oak, in New Road, Brentford, on Saturday and Sunday.
He is starring in a new short film called The Meeting.
Appearing alongside him will be rising star Dan Richardson, 40, who's latest film The Harsh Light of Day had its premier at Cineworld in Haymarket, last night (Thursday) playing to a sold-out crowd of over 200 ticket holders.
Mr Richardson, a former IT worker who turned to acting only three years, is a resident of St Margarets in Richmond and spent much of his youth exploring Hounslow, Brentford and Isleworth.
He is also a big fan of Brentford FC so the location of the film set, a stone's throw from the hallowed Griffin Park ground, will no doubt appeal to him enormously.
Mr Quarshie has previously played Captain Panaka in the prequels to the Star Wars series of films and also appeared in Doctor Who.
