HIP HOP group Black Biscuit have won an online music award for a video they filmed in Hatch End.

Dwayne Littlen, from Rayners Lane, and Kevern Raks, from Harrow Weald, took home the best video prize in the Online Music Awards (OMS) on Saturday after winning a public vote.

Their video for their single Anonymous was shot last November in a subway underneath Headstone Lane station.

After amassing 30,000 hits on YouTube, the self-funded video was picked out by the competition's judges and nominated as one of five in their category before coming out on top.

Mr Littlen, 22, a former Whitmore High School pupil, told the Observer: "We are chuffed.

"They are sending us a trophy and the award will help us maximise our opportunities in the industry.

"Their public relations team will help us to get more national exposure and the aim is to get a recording contract."

Filmed in one shot, the duo are shown singing while walking through the subway and interacting with several other characters.

At the end, the camera pans back and shows the actors frozen in their positions, echoing the song's chorus line, 'I'm so cold, I ain't even started yet'.

Hoping to build on their success, Black Biscuit's next video will be filmed in July in Rayners Lane.

They also have several more live shows planned, following on from their triumphant appearance at Under One Sky in Harrow on Sunday.

The pair started off as MCs on the underground scene five years ago and have since built up a loyal following.

Mr Littlen hopes this week's award is just the start of bigger things.

He said: "It is a big boost and a really big push forward for us. Thanks to everyone who supported us. We will keep delivering for you 110 per cent."
