A woman was rescued from a fire at her home in Hillingdon on Saturday morning.

The woman was led out of her home in Southfield Close, Hillingdon, wearing breathing apparatus as the blaze spread.

A small part of the kitchen was damaged.

She was treated for smoke inhalation by paramedics at the scene.

Fourteen firefighters and two engines from Hillingdon station attended.

The fire was reported just after 10.30am, and it was brought under control within half an hour.

What caused the fire is under investigation.
