Willesden Green residents are being asked to put on their walking boots and "pound the pavements" this weekend.

Brent council wants to improve walking paths in the area and has commissioned a national charity, Living Streets, to help them.

"We want to see what environmental improvements need to be made to this popular area to make it more accessible for pedestrians. We hope that as many locals as possible join in the walkabouts and let us know what needs to be done," said Daniel Brown, Lead Member for Highways and Transportation.

Each walk will last about an hour.

Route 1 meets at Dollis Hill tube station on Thursday, January 22 at 12.30pm and ends in Willesden Green town centre.

Route 2 meets at Willesden Green tube station on Friday, January 23 at 12.30pm and ends in the town centre.
