A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a collision with a Tesco delivery lorry in Hayes.

Paramedics were called to the incident in Uxbridge Road, Hayes at 3.15pm, and the motorcyclist in his 30s has been taken to Hillingdon Hospital with minor injuries.

London's Air Ambulance was on hand to help, along with 15 firefighters from London Fire Brigade.

An LAS spokesman said: "We sent a single responder in a car, a duty officer, an ambulance crew and London's Air Ambulance to the scene. We treated one patient, a male in his 30s. He suffered minor injuries, cuts and bruising, but was taken to Hillingdon Hospital by road ambulance."

Heavy traffic has since built up in Uxbridge Road and the surrounding area.
