HEATHROW expansion will be discussed by the London Assembly on Thursday.

The Environment Committee will meet at City Hall to discuss their response to the last month's news BAA would be delaying the project until after the General Election.

Earlier this year, Mayor of London, Boris Johnson held a question time debate at the Beck Theatre, in Grange Road, Hayes, about the third runway, which he has made clear he is opposed to.

Meanwhile, a packed public meeting was held at Heathrow Primary School, in Sipson, on Thursday which enabled villagers to ask questions about BAA's recent move to start buying up properties.

MP John McDonnell, leading the meeting, urged villagers to stick together and fight the runway, and added this was not a time to become complacent.
