A striking Hounslow health centre has been short-listed for a prestigious building award by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
The Heart of Hounslow, in Bath Road, which has a distinctive coloured exterior and airy interior, opened last year and was designed by architect Peter Liddell.
"Without going for the full polyclinic model, we delivered a flexible space for four surgeries with four or six GPs in each, and also nursing and medical treatment centres," he said.
"The great thing for patients is that you can come here instead of to three different places, for example."
Other design features include the use of linoleum, which stops bacteria infesting the floor.
The final awards will be later in the year.
