Lovers and promoters of healthy eating sang 'All I want for Christmas is brussells sprouts' at a Christmas show with a twist.

The Ealing-based social enterprise I Know Why It’s Yum, Mum! put on a festive performance in an attempt to make fruit and vegetables more fun in Sts Peter and Paul Church Hall, Ealing, last Friday (December 5).

The show, Dr Freg and Veg Mysteries, was to celebrate the launch of the company's release of fruit and vegetables top trump cards made by Winning Moves.

Managing Director of the company based in south Ealing Natasha Gavin, known to the children as the Rainbow Fairy, said about 50 children and the same number of adults attended.

She said: "About half of the children know me because they have done workshops with me. They came from a variety of west London schools including Fielding Primary in Ealing and Little Ealing Primary.

"Politicians attended including MP Angie Bray and Councillor Joy Morrissey. Each child was given a pack of top trumps cards and a packet of mango and pineapple Nim’s crisps made of baked fruit with no additives."
