FOUR adults have been taken to hospital and three children are suffering from shock after a head-on crash between two cars in Hayes.

The incident happened shortly after noon today (Monday) in Shepiston Lane, Hayes, when a black people carrier was in collision with a blue Peugeot.

The casualties came from both vehicles and several of them received treatment from firefighters using new emergency medical care packs only launched in Hillingdon on Friday.

The injured adults, including a man with a broken leg and a woman with chest and head injuries, were all taken to Hillingdon Hospital were they are receiving further treatment.

The crash happened yards from Hayes fire station which allowed officers to be on scene almost immediately and make full use of their new packs - called Immediate Emergency Care kits.

The case is now being investigated by police and no arrests have been made.
