Three people charged in connection with the murder of Paul Thrower in Hayes are due to go on trial within the next few days.

Pre-trial arguments have started at the Old Bailey today (Thursday, October 30) and witnesses could be called as early as Friday, October 31.

Kiro Halliburton, 18, of Tollgate Drive, Hayes and two other teenagers, who cannot be named for legal reasons as they are under 18, deny the murder of Hayes handyman Mr Thrower, 46.

He suffered knife and axe injuries outside his flat in St Dunstan's Close on February 20.

The father-of-three was taken to hospital but later pronounced dead.

A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a single stab wound to the heart.
