I HAD to re-read the article several times and I would appreciate some clarification if Tiffany Ridpath is quoted as not being able to get a doctor's appointment for eight years, then why hasn't she got her MP or local councillors or the Health Trust involved, or was that a mistake by the reporter?

I would love to know where her GP is and help get them struck off if its true that patients have to ring for an appointment eight years in advance.

There is also a quote from Andrew Malin from the council saying there will be a swimming pool on the site. I have checked the plans and that is total tosh, no mention of a swimming pool.

Good to see that council staff have no idea what is going on.

And I suggest that Debbie Leacock pops to the cinema to watch The Dark Knight; Hayes Town looks nothing like Gotham City.

I also suggest that the doubters actually welcome the fact that money is finally getting to Hayes, its been a long time coming.

I wonder if the comments are in fact just old fashioned veiled racism, as most of the complaints I ever hear about the new development is that its going to be full of asylum seekers, but then that's the cry from most Hayes residents every time a building anywhere is under construction.

If all Hayes residents took ownership of the town, looked after the streets, stopped throwing rubbish on the floor, controlled their kids and respected authority then it would be a better place for all of us.

I personally welcome the new development; it will bring work and some life back into the town, and for those who don't like it, I assume they have the option to move out.

Many don't have that luxury of choice.
