Policemen dug out their football boots and donned their shin pads to take part in a seven-aside football tournament in Harrow Weald on Saturday.
More than 100 youngsters, aged between 10 and 16, turned out for the event, which took place at Roger Bannister Sports Centre, in Uxbridge Road, Harrow Weald, between noon and 4pm.
Harrow Weald Safer Neighbourhood Team organised the tournament, which included a match between coaches from Watford Football Club and officers from Harrow Police.
Borough Commander Chief Inspector Richard Walton did not play, but presented the winning teams and runners-up with trophies and prizes.
Sergeant Paul Aynsley, from Harrow Weald Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: "The day was a real success and the weather was great. The youngsters had a lot of fun and we are hoping to turn this into an annual event.
"Special thanks goes to Waitrose in High Road, Harrow Weald, which supplied refreshments throughout the day."
