Reports have emerged a Harry Potter stunt man is recovering at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, in Wood Lane, Stanmore, after an explosion on set.

The man was injured while he was strapped into a harness for the filming for a flying scene, which involved an explosion.

The accident took place during the filming of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows at the Leavesden film studios near Watford.

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) specialises in neuro-musculoskeletal health care, ranging from acute spinal injuries to orthopaedic medicine and specialist rehabilitation for chronic back pain sufferers.

The stunt double has been named as David Holmes, 25, who stands in for Daniel Radcliffe, who plays the boy wizard.
