Little film news reporter Tanvi Masrani has done it again, landing the big interview with a star.
This time it was Rupert Grint – Ron Weasley from the Harry Potter films and now starring in a Postman Pat flick.
Tanvi (11), who attends Newnham Junior School in Newnham Avenue, Ruislip, added Rupert to her impressive list of interviewees: megastar actor Dame Helen Mirren and directors Tim Burton and Carlos Saldanha.
Rupert told her Postman Pat, the TV show, had been a favourite of his as a child.
“He was just a postman, and for me it was an achievable thing that you could possibly do, and I thought that was really cool,” he said.
Tanvi, who landed her film newshound role through the talent development programme of the charity Into Film, said: “I thought Rupert was really nice to meet and really down to earth.
“It was a really fun experience, probably one of the best for me so far, as I loved him in Harry Potter.”
