LIBRARY visitors will be able to suggest what opening hours, computer improvements and books they would like to see at their local branch to help them thrive.

Harrow Council’s consultation for modernising its 11 libraries, which runs until May 31, seeks views on all aspects of the service including the appearance and facilities, in-house events and activities.

Councillor David Perry (Labour), portfolio holder for community and cultural services, said: “We know Harrow residents love their libraries and the services they provide. It is important that they continue to contribute to building the service for the future.”

Roadshows will be held at:

? Kenton Library, Kenton Lane, Kenton, on Thursday, May 17, from 2pm to 4pm

? Pinner Library, Marsh Road, Pinner, on Thursday, May 24, from 10am to noon

? Stanmore Library, Stanmore Hill, on Friday, May 25, from 10am to noon

? Gayton Library, St John’s Road, Harrow, Wednesday, May 30, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm

Questionnaires will be available in all libraries, at Harrow Arts Centre, Harrow Museum, Harrow Leisure Centre and online at www.harrow.gov.uk/consultations .
