Harrow Weald man due in court over attempted murder of cabbie

A HARROW Weald man is due before magistrates today accused of the attempted murder of a minicab driver.

Conor Swift, 18, of Park Crescent, will appear along with four other men, all from Ruislip, from custody at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court over an incident that happened on Saturday at 3.40am in Bridgewater Road, Ruislip.

The alleged victim, a 39-year-old man, suffered a severe head injury and remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Swift's co-defendants - who like him are charged with attempted murder and robbery - are:

n Christopher Boyce, 18, of Victoria Road, Ruislip;

n Ross Bailey, 18, of Victoria Road, Ruislip;

n George Lynes, 18, of Larne Road, Ruislip, and

n a 17-year-old teenager from Ruislip who cannot be named for legal reasons;
