Armed robbers raided a Harrow supermarket late last night - threatening a terrified customer with a gun and a knife.

The masked duo stormed the Pinner Supermarket in Pinner Road, Harrow, at 9.45pm demanding cash from the till before heading off along Rutland Road in a Mercedes Benz.

One of the suspects was wearing a red jumper and red balaclava, while the other was all in black with a black balaclava.

Officers from the Flying Squad at Finchley are investigating and DC Neil Webb, who is leading the investigation, said: "This was a frightening and violent attack on a customer who was going about his normal business.

"We need to catch these two men before they target other premises and endanger other innocent people."

Anyone with information should call the Flying Squad at Finchley on 020 8358 1751 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
