ARMED robbers held up a convenience store at gunpoint in Harefield.
The incident happened in broad daylight on Monday at 11am at Londis in Moorhall Road, Harefield, with thousands of pounds cash believed to have been taken.
The robbers, both believed to be young, one black, one white, targeted the security van making the change over in cash to the cash machine in store.
Members of staff looked on in terror as the security guards were forced to hand over wads of cash to the men, who escaped in a waiting car.
The car, a black BMW, was since found dumped in nearby Denham.
Atul Sodha, store manager, said: "It was a nightmare, fortunately they were not targeting us as retailers, they were targeting the van."
The store, which was shut down for three hours has now re-opened as usual.
