I would like to thank every-body who organised the centenary celebration at Vaughan School. I was at Vaughan from 1937 and on the Wednesday we had a great evening and I met people I had not seen for at least 65 years.
One of my memories I had was of the infant school. I was a milk monitor and the
headteacher was Mrs Dowling. On a Friday afternoon the milk monitors use to line up to get our wages. Everybody got a half penny.
I was pleased about the space given for the coverage in the Observer.
