A CAT which was run over and left for dead in Isleworth will be starting a new life by the sea in Devon.

Little Puss, who made national news with the horrific tale of her car accident, was rescued by good samaritan Jason Taylor of Osterley Gardens, who took the injured cat to Putney RSPCA and paid nearly £500 for her treatment.

He said: "She has made a full recovery from the injuries she sustained when she was run over on Halloween.

"The only regrettable thing about her recovery is that she had to have the best part of her tail removed as she had lost the use of it, but other than that she is walking properly and is behaving like any happy cat."

He had hoped, by making a London wide appeal, the fighting feline's owner would come forward, but so far no one has.

Jason added: "Unfortunately, the owner, assuming Little Puss ever had one, never came forward. So it can be assumed that Little Puss was indeed a stray."

The tortoiseshell cat is now being looked after by a kindly volunteer, Rebecca Elliot-Smith, until a friend of hers takes her down to Devon to live with her.

Rebecca, a marketing assistant said: "I picked her up on Friday and she has been with me ever since, she is the sweetest little cat ever. She is healing really well and walks without any problems whatsoever, she has a lovely nature and has the loudest purr I have ever heard."
