AS the time for ghoulish endeavours draws closer, a Hammersmith boy is named as one of the scariest children in the country.

Marko Bakic, 11, took part in an online competition in which entrants had to send in photos of themselves in their most frightening Halloween costumes.

On Saturday, the ten finalists were invited to Speke Hall in Liverpool, which had been converted into a Ghoul School for the day and was being run by television presenter and competition judge, Jeff Brazier.

Children spent the day taking part in a series of devilish classes covering subjects including spells, magic and pumpkin carving.

The competition was run by Woolworths who set up an online store where children could enter photos of themselves looking their most fiendish.

Mr Brazier, said: "Choosing the 10 scariest children for Woolies Ghoul School was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do! Marko really stood out-he was amazing!”
