A police officer based in Hammersmith and Fulham has appeared in the dock at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court.

DC Ian Payne, 45, admitted possession of cocaine on Tuesday January 28 and was given a three month curfew. For the first two months he has to stay at his home address between 7pm and 7am and for the final month on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 7pm and 7am.

He was also ordered to pay £155 costs.

DC Payne, an officer based within the Specialist Crime and Operations, was arrested while on duty at approximately at 2pm on 1 November 2013 in Wimbledon. He is currently suspended pending a misconduct hearing.

Ben Paul, 33, was charged with possession with intent to supply a Class B drug in connection with the case against DC Ian Payne.

He admitted the offence and was bailed at a hearing today at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court, Tuesday, 28 January, He will be sentenced on Tuesday, February 18.
