A DOLLIS Hill boy had the chance to camp out at his favourite football team’s training ground.

Isaac Healey, 11, from Dollis Hill, was one of 80 young Arsenal supporters who won the chance to camp out at the Gunners’ training ground.

Isaac won a place through being a member of the Junior Gunners and had a football session with coaches from Arsenal in the Community on the same pitches his sporting heroes train on each week.

Afterwards, they had a tour of the players’ changing rooms, the boot room and the rehab room with a swimming pool, followed by dinner and a magic show, then camping out in a gazebo on the training ground turf.

Sue Campbell, Arsenal’s head of events, said: “The Camping on the Pitch events have been brilliant fun since we first got them under way three years ago.

“This was the first year we held the event at the training ground and it was a great opportunity to give our young fans the chance to get a behind the scenes look at where the players prepare for games.”
