CYCLISTS wishing to take part in tomorrow's (Saturday, August 3) Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle event can join a guided ride from Hounslow, via Brentford, in the morning.
Around 50,000 cyclists are expected to descend on the capital to take advantage of the traffic-free circuit through central London.
A guided ride to the circuit will leave from the Civic Centre, in Lampton Road, Hounslow, at 9.15am, passing through the Market Place, in Brentford, at 10am.
Deputy Hounslow Council leader Colin Ellar said: "This is a brilliant opportunity for the whole family to join around 50,000 riders in an eight-mile circuit which will take in some iconic London landmarks."
The traffic-free bike route is just part of a weekend of cycling celebrations, culminating on Sunday with the Prudential RideLondon Classic race, for professional riders, and the Surrey 100 event, for amateurs.
Residents are advised to check for road closures and parking restrictions along the route, which closely mirrors the one used for last summer's Olympic road race.
