A large group of people gathered for a silent march at Grenfell Tower on Thursday (September 14).

The event coincides with the formal opening of the inquiry into the horrendous fire, which killed around 80 people on June 14.

People began silently marching from Notting Hill Methodist Church in the shadows of the west London tower.

Banners and candles were held by people as they remembered the lives lost in the fatal blaze.

"The justice that we deserve"

A participant of the march took the microphone and said:

Three months ago today, the fire that tore down Grenfell Tower is probably enough to ruin most communities in this country.

It didn’t do it to us, we haven’t let it do it, we’re three months in now and this is just a sign to show we will never, ever let it go until we feel that those from Grenfell and the surrounding community have the justice that we deserve.
