IT WAS interesting to see that the first paragraphs of the two Green Party candidates' views on the

NHS in your paper were virtually identical. They are obviously singing from the same centrally produced hymn sheet. But where are they living? Do they use our local hospitals? They both talk about 'getting worse service'. Where?

The Care Quality Commission rates both the quality of care and the use of resources at Charing Cross Hospital as 'good', while Chelsea and Westminster scores a double 'excellent'.

Rollo Miles talks about the continuing rise in MRSA. At Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the rate of MRSA infections has been cut by 90 per cent in the last five years.

The Dr Foster Hospital Guide, published less than five months ago, rated Chelsea and Westminster as the fourth-safest hospital in England and the safest in this part of London.

Both Green candidates talk about the need to have confidence in your local hospital. Again, it seems to be their party hymn sheet and their lack of local knowledge.

We are sympathetic to many Green Party policies but, if the local candidates have no confidence in our local hospitals, we can have no confidence in them. We could never bring ourselves to vote Conservative, so we'll be voting Labour.
