PART of Greenford Road was shut down by police after a motorcyclist crashed into a lamppost at the busy junction with the A40.
An air ambulance was called to the scene just after 11.30am this morning (1). The injured man was treated on the side of the road before being taken to St Mary's Hospital in a road ambulance.
The seriousness of his injuries are unknown but thought to be not-life-threatening as he was not airlifted to hospital.
The stretch of Greenford Road between the Greenford Roundabout and Rockware Avenue was closed while paramedics treated the victim.
A London Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: "We were called at 11.35am to Greenford Road to reports of a road traffic accident. We were told a motorcyclist had driven into a lamppost.
"We sent London Air Ambulance, a road ambulance crew, and a single responder in a car. "The patient was treated on the scene and taken to St Mary's by road ambulance."
