THERE was something for everyone at Greenford Carnival which, along with the sunshine, attracted thousands of residents to a park full of fun.

Live music, art workshops, football and rugby skills, roller skating, face-painting dance performances and a wide variety of food and other stalls is just a taste of the attractions set-up in Ravenor Park on Saturday July 3.

Other popular highlights included tug-of-war, Zumba sessions - Latin dance classes which focus on keeping fit - and Sparky Stunts where residents could perform motorcycle wheelies on a rolling road.

Event organiser Angela Baptiste, said: "People of all ages enjoyed the dance classes, one woman who looked in her 70s was having a whale of a time. And there was a lot of bare-chested testosterone flying about at Sparky Stunts.

"This is our fourth Greenford Carnival and it gets better and better every year. The atmosphere was lovely with lots of families and everyone had big smiles on their faces. It was a fantastic day. Bring on next year and I hope like the sun shines then too, just like it did on Saturday."

Those who cannot wait 12 months should head down to the Acton Carnival at Acton Park on Saturday (10) from 12pm for more family fun.
