I was interested to read in the June 26 edition of the complaints of the residents in Wilsmere Drive over the cutting of the grass and also of the comments of Councillor Hall regarding weather and equipment ['Failure to cut grass is verging o na joke'].

I have telephoned Councillor Hall to speak to her on this matter but I am still waiting for a call back.

At one our tenants' association meetings, I put an idea to Councillor Hall on how to reduce the area to be cut and maybe get some money into the council, but it was knocked back that night without any thought going into it.

The comments made regarding the weather - dry - and the grass looks to have been cut with a knife and fork.

If the equipment was faulty, why send it out and leave yourself open to complaints?

I hope you print this letter as we are all paying for a service that is not being delivered.
