AN ARRAY of interesting items have already been donated to ‘London’s biggest jumble sale’ including a piano and football table.
The 1st Northwood Scouts is holding the event at its base, in Northwood Way, on Saturday, May 18, from 2pm, and still need more people to donate their unwanted goods.
Known for its offerings of high-quality goods at bargain prices, the annual event has seen more than 1,000 people turn up in past years.
Profits from the sale will go towards a very special trip to Kandersteg International Scout Centre, in Switzerland, to celebrate the group’s 100th birthday next year.
The scout hut is open between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Thursday and 2pm to 6pm on Saturdays for people to make donations.
All clothes, shoes, crockery, books, toys and electric goods will gratefully be accepted but unfortunately they cannot accept white goods, analogue TVs or beds.
