Future golfing stars battled it out in a mini primary school challenge to determine the borough's London Youth Games finalists.
Youngsters from Field End School, Eastcote, Bourne School, South Ruislip, St Helen's College, Uxbridge, Glebe Primary School, Ickenham and Frithwood School in Northwood, competed in a challenging golf tournament at Ruislip Golf Course.
Using the driving range at the course in Ickenham Road, Ruislip, the children, aged nine to 11, took part in Tri-Golf, a version of golf aimed at primary schools that uses large plastic golf clubs and balls made out of foam.
Ten children from each school competed in a number of activities including one called Bullseye, where players had to chip the ball as close to the centre of a target as possible.
The tournament was organised by Shenaz Mahomed, school games organiser at Harlington School in Pinkwell Lane, Hayes, with help of Hillingdon Council’s sports development team.
The team from Glebe Primary School came out on top, they will now represent the London Borough of Hillingdon at the London Youth Games final in July.
