A YOUNG woman’s dream came true when she was paid a visit by her musical heroes as she waits life-saving surgery.

Chloe Elliott, 20, of Greenway, Pinner, is suffering from cystic fibrosis and met rapper K Koke, from Stonebridge in Brent, and the rest of the USG underground rap crew.

Miss Elliott is receiving regular treatment for the disease which she has endured her whole life, but it has worsened in the past two years and she is awaiting a double lung transplant.

The former student of Bentley Wood High School, Stanmore, who would like to be a midwife if she makes a full recovery, was visited by the musicians at her home on Monday.

She said: “It was really good to meet them and they were so friendly, they gave me a signed T-shirt as well. It felt weird meeting them after seeing them on TV and stuff.

“We talked about their music and they showed me some videos. I really enjoyed it and it took my mind off everything, I am just really happy.”

K Koke, whose real name is Kevin Georgiou, grew up in Stonebridge and his family still live there.

He became the first British rapper to sign to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label last year and has a large following on the underground rap music scene.

The rapper, who is working on a new album, said: “It was really nice, she is doing really well considering and was laughing a lot. This is the reason why I carry on doing music.”

Miss Elliott has gone on the transplant list but and has been told that if she does not receive a transplant soon she will die. In the meantime, she is in and out of hospital receiving treatment.

Her sister, Rachael, 31, is her full-time carer and the two are very close.

Chloe, who also lives with her mother, Christine, said: “She is really good and really caring, she does so much for me.”

Each day the music fan must be on oxygen to help her breathe, have physiotherapy to clear the mucus from her lungs and take a large number of pills.

She also makes regular visits to the Royal Brompton Hospital, in South Kensington, and is hoping the transfer would go ahead at Harefield Hospital.

A friend of Chloe’s got in touch about how much she wanted to meet the rappers and councillor Zaffar Van Kawala, of Stonebridge ward, Brent, kindly arranged the meeting.
