GCSEs can be a stressful time. This is what you've been building up to throughout your entire school life.

Those times tables in primary school, seemingly pointless science projects in year 8 and the never-ending coursework assignments have all been leading up to this.

And there are moments from these exam periods which will stick in your mind forever.

Below, 16-year-old Andrew Li lists some things all GCSE-takers will probably be able to relate to:

1. Realising you worked harder for your mocks than your actual exams

2. Studying French for five years and still only being able to say je m'appelle

3. When you promise you'll only glance at The Student Room for 5 minutes, then end up spending over an hour on it

4. "Study leave"? Nah, it's a holiday

5. Spending more time Snapchatting about how you should be revising than you spend actually revising
Snapchat App

6. Treating CGP guides as substitutes for the time you fell asleep in class...

7. And ridiculing the jokes in CGP books instead of learning from them

8. Revising for 30 seconds just before the exam - then having the confidence of Sheldon Cooper

9. That one annoying cough that sets off a whole epidemic around the exam hall

10. Taking a break, thinking you have ages left - only to realise you've got two minutes to go and have to write frantically

11. When you write so fast you get that horrible lump on your finger from pen friction

12. Feeling like a boss for memorising the mark schemes

13. Praying those grade predictions your teachers made will come true

14. Using Sparknotes for your English coursework instead of reading the book and not getting found out

15. Feeling absolutely confident when you walk out of the exam

16. Until people start asking you how you answered questions...

17. And tell you everything you did wrong

18. Trying to forget about results for the whole summer...

19. Then freaking out the night before results day
