MUSIC students at Gumley recorded a perfect score of straight A*s and As as Gumley Convent School enjoyed GCSE success.


The proportion of pupils getting at least five A*-Cs including English and maths was up seven per cent from last year, to 71 per cent.

It wasn't just music in which the school excelled. Despite tougher science exams this year, 83 per cent of physics students and 82 per cent of biology students gained A*-B grades.

Hounslow mayor Sachin Gupta joined in the celebrations this morning, with students including Joanna Lada, who got nine A*s.
