THE GAZETTE paid a visit to a school to deliver a talk on Journalism and Photography.

Reporter Danya Bazaraa and Chief Photographer Andrew Gray spent an afternoon with year four pupils from Tudor Primary, Southall, last Friday (14).

They led an interactive session discussing what each of their jobs entailed, what their typical daily tasks are, how they work in partnership and how a newspaper is put together.

The pupils had prepared questions and were keen to know which celebrities Andrew had taken pictures of and what was tough about his role, after recently studying photography in class.

Working in groups, the youngsters excitedly flicked through various Trinity Mirror titles and picked a story and photo that interested them the most, giving feedback as to why.

They were then showed the camera kit and talked through uses of the different lenses, before they gathered round for a group shot.
