A GARDENER will be joining more than 1,000 runners from the Mr Men and Little Miss team.
Filipe Pinheiro, 36, from Harrow, will run the London Marathon as part of a team challenge to run more than 25,000 miles to mark the 25th anniversary of charity, Children with Cancer UK.
Filipe, who hopes to raise more than £2,000, said: “I would like to dedicate this marathon to my father-in-law, Antonio Leise, who died from cancer in February last year, and also a good friend, Ivor Riva, who died in December last year.”
The Mr Men and Little Miss team, running for Children with Cancer UK, is one of the largest teams in the marathon and the runners are easy to spot in their trademark Mr Happy and Mr Tickle running vests.
