IN THESE days of war memorials being scrapped and lost to posterity, I would like to congratulate Hounslow Council and the management of Western International Wholesale Fruit Market and in particular Richard Day, the market manager, on the splendid job they have done on the newly erected Memorial Garden dedicated to the men of Brentford Market who fell in two world wars.
The garden is situated at the entrance of the market and is well worth a visit.
