THE future is looking a little brighter for three abandoned kittens.

On May 1, the Gazette reported how Kay Mycroft had found them cowering in a binbag in a car park near her house in Ashdown Road, Hillingdon.

After taking them to a vet for a check-up, Mrs Mycroft contacted Cats Protection. At the time, she was concerned that one had suffered a leg injury as it had trouble standing.

Janet Campbell, co-ordinator at the charity, said: “We now have the three kittens in the care of one of our fosterers. They are all getting on fine, despite our initial concern.”

The nine-week-old male cats, one black and two tabby, will have their first vaccination and be microchipped and neutered before they are rehomed.

Mrs Mycroft has reserved the black kitten and Cats Protection has had several enquiries about his brothers.

Mrs Campbell said: “We will only rehome them subject to a successful home visit to ensure that someone is home at least part of the day when they are still small.”
