A SCHOOL summer fair which raised money for charity was a sunny, sizzling success.
Friends of Pinner Wood School, a new committee for Pinner Wood School, in Latimer Gardens, Pinner, held the event on Saturday at the school.
There was a tombola, splat the rat, bouncy castles, bungee run, barbecue, candy floss, a toy sale stall and lots of dancing and games for the schoolchildren.
The money raised is still being counted and will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Glenda Gregory, a parent at the school who helped organise the event, said: “We were so lucky that the weather was fantastic on the day.
“The summer fair was exceptionally well attended by children and parents of the school.
“I would personally like to thank the school, the children and parents, our committee and our chairwoman, Ellie O’Connor, who worked so hard and for letting me run the event for cystic fibrosis.”
Headteacher Deb Spruce said: “The new committee organised a wonderful traditional summer fair with candy floss and children’s games. Many staff, parents, ex-pupils, pupils and governors gave up their time to make it a lot of fun in the sunshine.”
